To Love Ru Darkness Review

One series can only be considered at the forefront of a particular genre that gives it its own identity or face; that series in question would be To Love Ru. It has had a rough start in adapting to the source material by not providing a coherent narrative to the manga. It has made a name for itself for being one of the top ecchi anime, thanks to the later seasons that are somewhat “reboots” if you want to take it that far. Now comes To Love Ru Darkness, a separate manga that continues the story of To Love Ru to breathe new life into its characters and comedy. To put it bluntly, it is a triumphant sequel that exceeds all expectations. Continue reading

Neptunia: The Animation Review

It’s one thing when you are a fan of a video game that all of a sudden has been confirmed to have an anime adaptation and feel nothing but contempt and frustration in the reasoning why they would bother. However, when your game is already one that acts like an anime, you think to yourself that this will already be a slam dunk based on how it was born to become an anime show in the first place. Watamote Review

We’ve all gone through a certain point where we want to feel less lonely even though our abilities for social interactions are limited for some inexplicable reason. Shows that remind us of those dark times can be polarizing for the majority to comprehend, and because of this, we don’t see many shows try to tackle the subject. The reason is that most people don’t like to revisit what made them so miserable for so long. Luckily for some of us, we always look back at those moments and laugh at how silly it was, and thanks to the show Watamote we can now have a show that does that for us. Continue reading

Ro Kyu Bu SS Review

To say that this show would be the guiltiest of guilty pleasures would be an understatement, at least from my experience. Obviously this stems from the fact that the show’s primary appeal is something that is looked down upon by almost everyone who cannot stand the way anime has pandered to the moe and loli fanbase. Unfortunately, these people have obviously didn’t bother to go through the entire show than just the first episode; which is just a tiny fraction of what the entire show is actually built on. Highschool DxD New Review

With the onslaught of ecchi titles that have come out this past year or so, there haven’t been many of them with the distinct charm or courage as some great ones. They are all devoid of any pleasure or wit in how any anime can portray fan service as colorful and sometimes ascetically beautiful in its artistry and dialogue. However, with that said, there are occasionally great gems hidden in the genre that does provide great comedy and memorable characters. Enter High School DxD.
